Barb Olson of Muddy Creek Primitives, designer and creator of unique handmade pieces is pleased to offer this primitive black scarecrow with pitchfork. This scarecrow is holding a pitchfork handmade from rusty wire. He is made from muslin that has been painted black. His clothing is tobacco cloth and homespun fabric. His eyes are black beads on osnaburg fabric circles. He has a twine mouth and burlap nose. A small crow sits on his hat brim. He has "Nebraska prairie hay" stuffed in his legs, arms, in his pocket and under his hat. He is mounted on a barn board with a small pumpkin and a piece of felt glued to the underneath side to protect your furniture. This "scary" scarecrow is all "grunged" up with cinnamon and coffee to make him look so wonderfully prim. My scarecrow is 18" tall. This scarecrow will look great standing on an old chair or bench.
