Barb Olson of Muddy Creek Primitives, designer and creator of unique handmade pieces is pleased to offer this primitive gourd doll with pumpkin doll. This gourd doll is made from muslin that has been painted gold with green stripes. Her shirt is old gold broadcloth and she is wearing a skirt of homespun fabric. Around her waist is black fabric fringe. At her neckline is olive green wool felt. Her eyes are black beads on green wool felt circles and her mouth is hand embroidered. She is holding a pumpkin guy whose head is paper mache. The little pumpkin guy has a mustard ticking body with small black pom pom trim down the front. He has stick arms attached with rusty wire. He also has a stick stem. This sweet gourd doll with pumpkin guy is all "grunged" up with cinnamon and coffee to make her look so wonderfully prim. My gourd doll is 18" tall. This gourd doll with pumpkin guy will look great sitting on an old galvanized bucket or prim chair.
