Barb Olson of Muddy Creek Primitives, designer and creator of unique handmade pieces is pleased to offer this primitive scarecrow with large crow. This scarecrow is wearing a tobacco cloth dress with a vintage looking crow feed sack hand stitched to the front. He is made from osnaburg and has a rusty metal ribbon mouth and piece of homespun for a nose. His eyes are black painted fabric and a small bead. He has a denim hat with a tobacco cloth patch. This scarecrow has "Nebraska prairie hay" stuffed under his hat, sleeves and around the neck. Standing next to him is a very grungy crow made from faux fur. The crow has black beads for eyes and a hand carved wooden beak. His legs are twisted rusty wire and he is mounted a board. The scarecrow is mounted on a dowel and glued to a pine board that is painted orange with a piece of felt glued to the underneath side to protect your furniture. This scarecrow is all "grunged" up with cinnamon and coffee to make him look so wonderfully prim. My scarecrow is 20" tall. This scarecrow will look great standing on an old chair or bench.
