Barb Olson of Muddy Creek Primitives, designer and creator of unique handmade pieces is pleased to offer this prim Uncle Sam that is holding a rocket firework. He is wearing a homespun red, tan and blue striped pants and hand-dyed blue bowtie. His shirt is red tan and blue homespun plaid. He has twine suspenders with small rusty stars as buttons. His hat is made from an old copy of "Star Spangled Banner" sheet music. On the brim of the hat is antique style tinsel garland and a distressed rusty star. His eyes and mouth are handstitched with crochet thread. His nose and eyebrows are hand sculpted with needle and thread. Uncle Sam's hair and beard are cream wool roving. He is holding a handmade rocket firework with tinsel garland for the sparks. The top of the rocket is more of the "Star Spangled Banner" sheet music and red glitter on the edge. The base is painted blue with white stars. He is mounted on a gray stained board with a dowel. The board has felt on the base to protect your furniture. He is wonderfully grunged up to look very primitive. Uncle Sam is 19" tall. Set him on your mantle or side table with our companion piece, Liberty with "Liberty" star garland ( also available in our Etsy shop).
